A 90-mile high-speed Maglev system in Southern California connecting Los Angeles International Airport, downtown Los Angeles and the Inland Empire.
Serving an estimated 100,000+ riders per day, vehicles arrive at stations every 10 to 20 minutes and travel at over 200 miles per hour.

Maglev vehicles are levitated and propelled along a monorail guideway using powerful electromagnets.

WHO IS INVOLVED

Los Angeles. The federal government has committed an additional million dollars for further development of the California Maglev project. Local officials are awaiting word from U. S. Secretary of Transportation, Rodney Slater, as to additional funding to be provided to the California Project.
