The TEA-21 ITS Deployment Program Interim Report 2000 |
In June 1998, Congress passed the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) authorizing Federal surface transportation programs for highways, highway safety, and transit for 1998-2003. We are now at the midpoint of TEA-21, and this is an appropriate time to assess the progress of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Deployment Program. This brochure describes the objectives and results of the TEA-21 ITS Deployment Program to date, highlighting key program accomplishments and benefits in the areas of integrated deployment, safety, mobility, and efficiency. |

Report on the U.S. Department of Transportation's Outreach on Implementation of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) |
The Transportation Equity Act for the 21 st Century (TEA-21) continues the National transportation policy directions established by the ISTEA, and also makes important refinements and enhancements that reflect input from a wide diversity of stakeholders during the USDOT's 1996 National Outreach on ISTEA Reauthorization. TEA-21 contains important new program initiatives, makes changes to State and metropolitan planning processes, augments the portfolio of innovative financing strategies, and strengthens safety programs across the Department of Transportation. |

2004 USDOT Transportation Statistics Annual Report |
The Transportation Statistics Annual Report (TSAR) provides an overview of U.S. transportation issues. Each TSAR has two essential components: a review of the state of transportation statistics with recommendations for improvements and a presentation of the data and with analysis of many aspects of the transportation system: how the system is used, how well it works, how it affects people and the economy, and how it relates to energy use and environmental impacts. TSAR is a Congressionally mandated publication with wide distribution. |

High Speed Ground Freight Report - Pre-Study for UIC High Speed Mission |
The European transportation system grew into a function as the feeder between different and well-organised processes in factories, distribution centres and consumers. According to the rapidly growing internet- and e-commerce-market, not only the industry but each con-sumer is getting used to short answering times: ordered yesterday, delivered today to any address. That is why parcel service is maybe the most rapidly growing transportation market world-wide with new alliances between airlines and parcel companies as well as e-commerce-companies built every month. |
